On August 15th 1931 and in the midst of the great depression, Terry Jean Pollard was born in the Motor City -  Detroit, Michigan. Her parents Marmion Stanley and Rosetta Haughabook Pollard. The Pollards and extended family members have acquired many photos of my mother and other family members throughout her life. The Lord has moved me to make sure that these personal photos, scripture writtings, and statements from many are shared with all family members to understand and to learn more about her legacy and contribution in Native Africian American History. In a multi - part project sharing my mothers personal photos  and family photos. Exciting moments  she was beginning her professional career. There were many scrapbooks. I can remember as a child looking at pictures with my mother with Nat King Cole, Billy Eckstine and many other jazz ledgions. Unfortunely, many of the photo scrapbooks were lost or stolen. However, what we  have left of her private collection, hopefully will be enjoyed by all!
